Traditional Brass Dabara Set for Filter Kaapi

Savor an authentic cup of South Indian Kaapi the traditional way: from a South Indian Dabara & Tumbler. The tumblers are the cups where you sip your coffee from. Dabaras are wide cups with lipped walls, which help mix the ingredients evenly, cool your coffee, and aerate the coffee mix.

There’s something about South Indian filter Kaapi, that is out of this world. A thick decoction brewed in a brass filter is mixed with boiling milk and then comes the most fun part – aerating the coffee back and forth between davara & tumbler to create the delicious and delicate froth. This also helps cool down the Kaapi to the perfect sipping temperature. South Indian Filter Kaapi is a coffee drink made by mixing frothed and boiled milk with a coffee decoction obtained by percolation brewing of finely ground coffee powder in a traditional Filter Kaapi filter.

Note: Brass is a soft metal. Some minor imperfections may exist but doesn’t impact brewing at all. Brewing and Care instructions for your Brass Filter will be included with your purchase. Traditional Brass Filters are always tin lined to be food safe and so alloys don’t leach into your coffee over time. For this reason, the plunger/press inside the filter is pure and good safe stainless steel.
